Offer made: Wolves make bid to sign new “monster” forward in January; they’ve had a reply..

According to reports, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in a player they were watching this summer as Gary O’Neil tries to build on his strong debut at Molineux.

Wolves look toward January.

Under O’Neill’s leadership, Wolves have showed some impressive grit in the Premier League to position themselves comfortably in or near the middle of the table; nevertheless, adding quality players and offloading surplus players in January will be crucial to maintaining a well-balanced group at Molineux.

In terms of departures, it appears like the Old Gold have found a new home for out-of-favour striker Fabio Silva, who is expected to move north of the border and sign a straight loan agreement with no buyout clause with Scottish Premiership team Rangers, where he will spend the rest of the season.

Journalist Christopher Michel has also hinted that Sasa Kaladjzic, another striker, may be leaving on a similar note at Molineux next month after not being given consistent playing time. The SPORT1 reporter stated on social networking platform X that clubs in the Premier League and Bundesliga are interested in signing the Austrian international. This might mean that Matheus Cunha and Hwang-hee Chan would have to compete for playing time in the last third of the game.

Given this, Wolves might require an additional offensive player to join the West Midlands team, and a recent report indicates that they might be shopping for one in January.

Wolverhampton Wanderers receive a response from Boulaye Dia…
Wolves are reportedly interested in Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia once more, according to reports in Italy via Sport Witness. The Serie A team had previously turned down advances from the Old Gold for the Senegal international, but they had rejected a loan-to-buy offer that would have guaranteed them €12 million in the summer.

According to the outlet, Wolves has now made another bid to purchase the 27-year-old, carrying a €12 million “right of redemption,” but Salernitana has once again rejected them. However, O’Neil’s team may be able to catch the attacker if they are able to increase their offer by €8 million.

The forward, who was born in France and was called a “absolute monster” by journalist Jonas Adnan Giaever, has made 14 appearances for his present employers across all competitions in 2023–2024, scoring four goals during that time (Dia statistics – Transfermarkt).

Newcastle United is rumored to be monitoring the seasoned forward’s progress as well, so Wolves may need to move quickly to try and entice Dia to Molineux when the market reopens for business.
