Wolves boss gives West Ham huge encouragement over the defender deal…

With an admission about his circumstances, Wolves manager Gary O’Neil has given West Ham tremendous encouragement over Max Kilman.

The previous 24 hours have seen a rise in the likelihood that West Ham will be able to finance a January transfer window move for Max Kilman of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It appears that the possibility of Wolves selling their outstanding skipper has also increased.

The Hammers sent out periphery defender Thilo Kehrer to Monaco, and there are a lot of players that might be added, including defender Nayef Aguerd and Wolves-linked players Said Benrahma and Danny Ings.

Hammers and the magnificent Kilman are related.

It has also surfaced that West Ham struck a £1.8 million deal with Barclays to have early access to the subsequent £30 million tranche of Declan Rice funds.

Yesterday, we brought you news of rumors that Kilman’s signing with West Ham is contingent upon a certain requirement.

That being paying the £40 million asking price for the ball-carrying, London-born center defender.

With that admission, Wolves manager Gary O’Neil has now greatly encouraged West Ham against Kilman.

Before Wolves’ FA Cup matchup with Brentford, O’Neil answered questions regarding the club’s January window plans during a press conference.

He also acknowledged that Wolves remains subject to the FFP limitations that he was informed about upon joining the team.

O’Neill greatly boosts West Ham’s confidence.

O’Neil also acknowledged that Wolves will need to sell players in order to make purchases this month.

In remarks to the media that were aired on Sky Sports News on Thursday afternoon, O’Neil said, “January is a tricky market and yea the financial restrictions we faced in the summer are still firmly in place, there’s no real change on that front.”

“So, naturally, we’re working very hard to try to do better, but we’re also trying to do so within the constraints of our finances and a challenging January.

Which is why it doesn’t surprise me since I was aware of it from the beginning; the club has been transparent about it, and I get it. I have no problems at all.

“Wolves outs before ins”

Regarding the issue of outs before ins, most likely. It might be easier for us to do things that can come in if we can complete a few bits going out. There might thus be some action on that. That’s basically how January will go; if we can work on a couple projects that free up some cash, we might be able to bring in one or two.

West Ham will be pleased to learn that Wolves are obviously in need of money in order to make their own acquisitions.

At first glance, a deal for Kilman could seem improbable. A Premier League club’s captain would be extremely uncommon to be traded during the January transfer window.

However, if the Hammers make an offer that Wolves can’t refuse, the entire situation will change.

Furthermore, Benrahma and Ings might be used as makeweights to reduce the amount of money West Ham must spend on Kilman if O’Neil is truly interested in them.

O’Neil might even be tossed into any deal if it helps grease the wheels, considering his interest in Aaron Cresswell throughout the summer.
