Leeds United ‘identify’23-year-old’s replacement amid fresh Crysencio Summerville transfer claim..

All the latest Leeds United news and transfer rumours as they prepare to face Peterborough United in the FA Cup.

Leeds United return to action today, Saturday, when they face Peterborough United in the FA Cup third round. The Whites defeated strugglers Birmingham City to earn a critical three points after suffering straight defeats the previous two games.

But they must now focus on their FA Cup tie against League One’s top scorers, Peterborough. Leeds will be looking to prevent a repeat of their Carabao Cup defeat in the FA Cup. Meanwhile, we’ve compiled a list of everything new from Elland Road.

‘Interest’ in the back row
Leeds are reportedly interested in signing Burnley full-back Connor Roberts. The Whites returned Djed Spence to Tottenham on Friday, effectively terminating his loan spell, and it is now being reported that the Whites could buy another right-back, despite Farke’s suggestion otherwise.

According to Darren Witcoop, Burnley midfielder Roberts could be of interest, despite the Welshman’s few appearances this season. Roberts has routinely played alongside Leeds centre-back Joe Rodon, who both came from Swansea City.

Dean Jones, a transfer insider, believes Leeds star Crysencio Summerville is still focused on the work at hand despite rumored interest. “He’s scoring a goal pretty much every other game,” Jones explained to GiveMeSport. “And when you have someone his age playing in this way, you have to take advantage of it.”

“Leeds must feel fortunate that things worked out this way in terms of him staying and Sinisterra leaving because I’m sure it was all a little nervous at the time and, on the decision-making front, you’re probably a little unsure that it was definitely the right thing.”

“And we’d seen glimpses of Summerville’s potential last season.” Leeds can only hope that no offers come in in January and that he stays focused on the job at hand.”
