Director ‘ready to invest’ on signing Birmingham City star– Blues seem pleased with deal..

On January 9th, journalist Alfredo Pedullà indicated that Atalanta could make a second bid for Birmingham City’s Jordan James after initially proposing €5 million with bonuses.

TuttoMercatoWeb reported last Friday that the midfielder has reached an agreement with the Serie A club for a contract worth €750,000 per year through 2028. It was also stated that Atalanta was taking its time in negotiations with the Blues.

According to L’Eco di Bergamo and Tutto Atalanta, the Birmingham City player’s profile and talents make him an ideal contender for the La Dea midfield.
The Wales international has six goals in 28 appearances this season, and his contract runs until 2025, with an option for another year.

Atalanta director Lee Congerton is reportedly’ready to invest’ in acquiring the 19-year-old’s talents, with an offer ranging from €7 million to €10 million. It is unclear whether this includes bonuses.

From a financial standpoint, this may be appealing to Birmingham City, as it exceeds past claims.

Congerton is desperate to get James to Atalanta, hoping that he will be a starter for the team beginning next season.
