Dub Hub: Golden State Warrior Legend to Return Monday against. Grizzlies..
Whose minutes does he play, and how long can he remain out of the league’s sights?
Jonathan Kuminga is in the middle of his most productive scoring spell. He started 14 games while Green was sidelined, scoring 24 and 28 points off the bench in the preceding two. He has scored in double digits in 19 consecutive games and appears to be poised for a large nightly role.
Does Green’s return push Kuminga down the rankings and stop his momentum?
Does Kerr predominantly deploy Green at center, devoting time away from Kevon Looney, Trayce Jackson-Davis, and Dario Saric? Where does struggling Andrew Wiggins fit into the picture? Kerr has a little time to figure things out. Green is anticipated to return with limited minutes and may start off the bench. But the trade deadline is approaching, and the 18-21 Warriors must resolve things out quickly. — Slater
Kerr chose Brandin Podziemski to start in lieu of the resting Curry. In his hometown of Milwaukee, the rookie guard put up 23 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. He had cheering sections all over the arena, including a suite directly above the media section, which went crazy following Podziemski’s three stepback 3s.
“Ran into my seventh-grade English teacher pregame,” Podziemski added. “She said she’s glad I went to military school; otherwise, I’d be a troublemaker.” I was here on the day the building opened. I was a sophomore at high school. I got to meet Giannis Antetokounmpo.
"We've been relying on him heavily … He's worn out. He needs the night off."
