CONFIRMED: Brentford agree loan deal for Spurs’ Reguilon..
Brentford have agreed to sign left-back Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham for the remainder of this season.
The Spaniard, 27, spent the first part of the season on loan at Manchester United, but his contract was terminated last month.
He is now poised to join the Bees, who had been hunting for a left-back while Rico Henry is presently out injured.
Boss Thomas Frank has made it clear that securing someone in that position is a top goal during this month’s transfer period.
Reguilon joined Tottenham from Real Madrid in 2020 and spent the previous season on loan at Atletico Madrid.
His deal is set to be completed in time for his Brentford debut against Nottingham Forest at home on Saturday.
Frank’s side has lost five Premier League games in a row and is only two points above the relegation zone, with Forest a spot higher in the table.
