Marvin Nicholas Johnson (born 1 December 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Sheffield Wednesday.
Ipswich Town have taken an interest in Sheffield Wednesday wide experienced player Marvin Johnson, and is thought to be on Ipswich town radar as said by the Sheffield Star.
The Tractor boys desire to strengthen the month with Jeremy Sarmieno and Lewis Travis both coming in on loan. The pair could be crucial in keeping the Tractor Boys in the promotion mix between now and the end of this term.
The stake for the 33-year old winger experienced wide man, remain a concern,Kieran McKenna and the entire team has reportedly been in contact for Johnson who can operate as a full-back, wing-back and a winger.
Marvin Johnson who signed a contract extension last summer, but the duration of that deal is unclear.with his age in mind, there may be an opportunity for Ipswich to strike a fairly cheap deal, having taken an interest in him before.
Johnson has also been a real asset going forward recently, scoring two goals and giving two assists in his last five games.
If he plays at left-back for Ipswich, he could be a good alternative to Leif Davis who offers a lot in the final third.
Johnson can also be a threat and that’s why the Tractor Boys may benefit from bringing him in.At the moment, it seems as though they have enough options in the wing areas with Sarmiento arriving.
Though Johnson is only a short-term solution in this position, he could be a good squad player to have with his previous promotion-winning experience.
