Fulham boss Silva ponders midfielder loan move
Marco Silva acknowledges that Fulham midfielder Tyrese Francois requires more playing time, yet the decision on whether to loan him before the upcoming deadline remains undecided for the Whites’ boss.
The 23-year-old Australian has had minimal appearances this season, having had a previous 12-month loan with HNK Gorica cut short due to injury.
Fulham has permitted Jay Stansfield and Luke Harris to go on loan to Birmingham and Exeter, respectively. Some members of the Under-21 squad are also gaining experience in League One and League Two.
Silva states that Francois may be allowed to leave next week if it aligns with the club’s needs. The decision is pending, with one more week for consideration. Loans have been utilized for players needing more game time, as exemplified by Luke Stansfield. The squad faces decisions, given the shortage of numbers.
Despite the club’s proactive approach to player well-being resulting in fewer injuries, they must be prepared for unforeseen circumstances. Ty’s playing time is crucial, and despite attempts last season, injuries have impeded his progress.
The final decision on whether he goes on loan or stays for the season is yet to be determined.
