Rotherham United’s Top star finally completes new loan deal following recent comeback…
Rotherham United’s young midfielder, Curtis Durose, has embarked on a fresh loan journey after his recent return. Durose, who has previously ventured out from the AESSEAL New York Stadium, has secured a loan move to Matlock Town until the season’s end.
Known for nurturing their promising talents through loan spells, Rotherham United often send their youngsters to non-league clubs for invaluable first-team experience. Following his stints at Gainsborough Trinity and Scarborough earlier in the season, 20-year-old midfielder Durose is now set for another spell away from his parent club.
Matlock Town, as confirmed by the club’s official announcement, have successfully acquired Durose on loan, although the duration of the deal was not explicitly mentioned. Despite making only one appearance for Rotherham United’s first team, Durose’s new loan move underscores his ongoing development outside the club’s ranks.
Having experienced fluctuations in playing time during his tenure at Scarborough, Durose now seeks consistent minutes at Matlock Town to showcase his capabilities. Managed by Martin Carruthers, a former Stoke City and Peterborough United striker, Matlock competes in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, currently positioned 13th in the standings.
Meanwhile, Rotherham United faces a challenging season in the Championship, occupying the bottom spot. Despite the relegation threat, the club remains focused on finding silver linings amid the adversity.
