Ex Huddersfield and Bradford City man recruited by League Two outfit
Former Huddersfield Town, Doncaster Rovers, and Bradford City forward Jordy Hiwula has signed with League Two side Morecambe.
Hiwula, a former England youth international, had been without a club since leaving Ross County in September. Now, he’s back in action with a short-term deal until the end of the current season at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
Expressing his excitement, Hiwula stated, “I’m excited and happy now we’ve finally got it over the line.” He sees this as a perfect opportunity to contribute to the team’s efforts for the remainder of the season and hopes to achieve something special with his new teammates. Hiwula also praised the welcoming atmosphere among the players at Morecambe.
As for what fans can expect from him, Hiwula promised hard work, determination, and a knack for scoring goals. He emphasized his commitment to giving his all for the team in every match.
A product of the Manchester City academy, Hiwula joined Huddersfield in 2015 but struggled to secure regular first-team opportunities. He had loan spells with various clubs before departing Huddersfield permanently in 2018.
Despite stints with Coventry City and Portsmouth, he eventually landed at Doncaster Rovers in 2020. However, his time in South Yorkshire was challenging, leading to his move to Ross County before joining Morecambe.
