Von Miller suggests Bills GM Brandon Beane wants to trade up to draft a wide receiver
A year ago, during the Scouting Combine, Bills General Manager Brandon Beane collaborated with linebacker Von Miller, leaving Beane thoroughly impressed with Miller’s abilities. Beane even went as far as foreseeing Miller’s future as an NFL general manager. Fast forward to the present, Miller’s recent social media post has caught attention. In the post, Miller shared a video with a caption suggesting Beane’s intent to trade up for a wide receiver in the 2024 NFL draft, expressing trust in Beane’s decision-making.
While it’s uncertain if Miller possesses any insider knowledge regarding Beane’s draft plans, sharing such information on social media seems peculiar. However, Beane’s own remarks indicate his willingness to involve Miller in the Bills’ pre-draft activities.
With recent moves like trading Stefon Diggs to Houston and Gabriel Davis departing for Jacksonville in free agency, Beane could benefit from bolstering the wide receiver position. Despite lacking substantial draft assets to target top prospects like Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, or Rome Odunze, the Bills might still have opportunities to acquire talents such as Brian Thomas Jr. or Xavier Worthy.
Presently, the Bills hold the 28th overall pick in the first round of the draft.
As the draft approaches, many opinions will emerge regarding the potential of various prospects. However, few are willing to take the risk of being criticized for underestimating a player who eventually achieves greatness.
