Luton’s Star eyeing more Wembley glory after helping achieve Premier League dream

Joe Taylor, having tasted success at Wembley with Luton Town last season, remains grounded and hungry for more as he continues his impressive journey with Lincoln City.

Despite his memorable cameo in Luton’s play-off triumph, Taylor never allowed himself to be swept away by dreams of grandeur. He understood that his path would likely lead him to the lower leagues rather than the Premier League’s glamorous stages.

Since then, Taylor has been making waves across different divisions, showcasing his talent and versatility. His stellar performances with League Two’s Colchester United earned him a move to Lincoln City, where he has continued to shine, earning him the EFL Young Player of the Month award.

Reflecting on his journey, Taylor acknowledges the whirlwind experience but remains focused on maintaining his high standards. He credits Mick Harford, Luton Town legend and mentor, for his guidance and support throughout his development.

Taylor’s confidence in his abilities has been key to his success, from his days playing in the ninth-tier to his current exploits in League One. His belief in his goal-scoring prowess mirrors that of top strikers worldwide.

Under the guidance of Lincoln City’s manager Michael Skubala, Taylor has flourished even further, contributing to the team’s impressive unbeaten run. With Lincoln still in contention for a playoff spot, Taylor remains optimistic about their prospects and hopes to continue their momentum.

As they face Oxford United, Taylor and his teammates are aware of the importance of securing a win to keep their playoff dreams alive. Despite the challenges, Taylor acknowledges the team’s progress and hopes they can secure a spot in the playoffs.
