One of the great Terps in the NFL has found a new landing spot heading into the 2024 season
The Buffalo Bills have traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. In return, the Bills sent Diggs, along with a sixth-round pick in this year’s draft and a 2025 fifth-round pick, to Houston in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick.
Diggs had an impressive season with the Bills, catching 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns, earning him a fourth Pro Bowl selection. Known for his dynamic partnership with Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Diggs will now team up with Texans quarterback CJ Stroud, the reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Entering his 10th NFL season, Diggs originally committed to the University of Maryland in 2012, where he left a significant mark despite playing with various quarterbacks. He recorded 150 catches for 2,227 yards and 14 touchdowns during his three-year tenure with the Terps.
Drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015, Diggs gained national recognition, notably for his game-winning touchdown in the Minneapolis Miracle playoff game against the New Orleans Saints. He joined the Bills in March 2020, immediately making an impact with a career-best season.
Diggs’ arrival in Houston adds depth to their receiving corps, complementing young talents like Nico Collins and Tank Dell. The Texans also recently acquired former Bengals running back Joe Mixon. Notably, the Texans will face the Bills this season, setting the stage for Diggs’ return to Buffalo.
