Thomas Frank is in no haste to leave Brentford despite being on top clubs radar…

Brentford manager Thomas Frank finds himself on Bayern Munich’s radar as the German giants intensify their hunt for a new head coach following Thomas Tuchel’s departure. Despite last-minute talks between Tuchel and Bayern, the former Chelsea boss is definitively leaving the club. Now, Bayern is actively pursuing alternatives, with Frank and Burnley’s Vincent Kompany reportedly among the candidates.

While Bayern has yet to make official contact with Brentford, they have reportedly engaged with Frank’s representatives to gauge his interest. Meanwhile, Frank remains focused on his current duties at Brentford, spending time this week ramping up pre-season preparations and discussing summer plans with club staff.

Despite Bayern’s interest, Frank is said to be content at Brentford and excited about the potential for further growth with the team. Having initially joined Brentford as an assistant coach in 2016 before taking the helm in 2018, Frank led the club to Premier League promotion in 2021 and has since established them as a competitive force in the top flight.

While Brentford remains confident in retaining Frank for the upcoming season, Bayern’s pursuit reflects a broader challenge facing top European clubs: a shortage of experienced elite coaches. Although Frank is highly regarded for his technical acumen, his lack of extensive continental experience and major trophy success may present a hurdle for Bayern.
