Clubs from all around Europe have expressed interest in Sheffield United’s star, who is valued over £20 million.

Anel Ahmedhodzic, a defender for Sheffield United, is expected to be sold this summer, therefore it’s not surprising that teams throughout Europe are showing interest in the Bosnian international.

In the summer of 2022, the 25-year-old signed a contract with the Blades valued about £4 million. He enjoyed an incredible start to his Sheffield United career, and it was immediately apparent that the team had struck a good deal in acquiring a talented defender.

He continuously demonstrated his attacking and defensive prowess during the first several months of working under Paul Heckingbottom. Making last-ditch challenges in the defensive third, scoring goals, and making marauding runs down the right all became routine.

But throughout the winter, he suffered from a severe bout of glandular fever, which negatively impacted his performance. However, he did recapture some of that form prior to the end of the 2022–2023 campaign. In 34 appearances, Ahmedhodzic would end the Championship campaign with six goals, two assists, and 16 clean sheets.

Many Sheffield United supporters thought that after earning automatic promotion, Ahmedhodzic was prepared to move up to the Premier League.
Anel Ahmedhodzic clearly possesses some excellent qualities, even though his performance in the recently concluded season was lackluster. Maybe he will reach his full potential if he joins a squad with more talented players. We’ll find out in due course.

The Italian major Napoli has already expressed interest in the Sheffield United center defender; however, according to The Mirror, Atalanta is also eager to sign the Bosnian.

According to the source, Chelsea has expressed interest in the United defender. Although his current asking price is allegedly £20 million, there is rumour that he has a £17 million release clause.
