Luton Town, Millwall among others in pursuit to sign the 25-year-old on a free transfer.

The central defender impressed enough at Millwall on his loan there in the second half of the previous season that the Lions attempted to work out a new deal to lure him back to The Den.

It appeared that he wouldn’t be able to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a free transfer until next year after agreeing to a long-term contract back in 2020.

He will be available for release on June 30th, though, giving a number of teams the chance to sign him for free. These teams will be eager to take advantage of this opportunity.

In the upcoming weeks, the 25-year-old won’t likely be short on choices, but Lions manager Neil Harris will be looking to attempt closing a deal for the player, who is already comfortable living in the English capital and at The Den.

The amount of interest other clubs are showing in the defender makes it possible for the Lions to lose this race, even if they may be heavy favorites after signing him on loan in the past.

Journalist Thomas claims that Luton and other second-tier teams are also interested in the player. The defender might be able to play more frequently in this league if he moves from Tottenham.

It’s also thought that Serie A teams are interested in signing him; nonetheless, the player will weigh his alternatives carefully before deciding on his future.

Despite holding talks to sign the player permanently, the Lions have not yet reached an agreement with him. As a result, other teams have the option to move quickly and extend an offer to the player, should they so choose.

Japhet Tanganga will have a tough time deciding whether to accept an offer from a side in Italy or to stay in England. Given that he was able to accrue a significant amount of game time and is already accustomed to living in The Den, relocating there permanently would be a wise choice for him.
