Report; Everton in talks to sign 22-year-old player, conditions shared for deal

On June 11, a popular media outlet reported that Everton is engaged in discussions with Chelsea regarding a deal for a 22-year-old striker.

However, this potential transfer hinges on Everton’s ability to raise funds, as the club seeks a new owner with Farhad Moshiri holding talks with prospective buyers.

The takeover process is intricate and time-consuming, potentially leading Everton to consider selling key players like Dominic Calvert-Lewin during the summer window.

Many teams are in talks to sign Broja, but Chelsea is not overly concerned about his circumstances. Before Broja returns from the Euro 2024 Championships, where he is representing Albania, the Blues are not in a rush to reach an agreement with anyone.

Everton might find themselves in a comparable situation once more. This summer, Everton will need to sell another important player to make room for new players unless they have a wealthy benefactor in charge.

Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana are reportedly being considered for transfers away from Goodison Park, alongside the uncertainty surrounding Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future.

According to a source, Newcastle United has looked at signing Calvert-Lewin, who scored eight goals in all competitions the previous year. Even though Armando Broja is a striker with potential, his future at Stamford Bridge is still unknown.

He has made 38 appearances for Chelsea since making his senior debut in 2020. He has also spent time on loan at Southampton and Fulham. He is a striker in the Premier League with a ton of experience, and the Toffees would benefit from having him.
