Fulham eyeing Andre Trindade to replace Palhinha
Representatives from Fulham and Andre Trindade have discussed a potential transfer as the Cottagers get ready to trade Joao Palhinha.
Fulham has their eyes set on Andre Trindade. In light of Joao Palhinha’s uncertain future, the Cottagers are eager to add a midfield player during the summer transfer window.
Additionally, they have had discussions with the 22-year-old midfielder for Fluminense’s representation. Since breaking into Fluminense’s first team, Andre Trindade has established himself as one of the top midfielders in his own country.
Ibirataia native, he was a member of Fluminense for the majority of his early years, joining the legendary Brazilian club in 2013 at the age of twelve.
Midway through the 2020 campaign, the 22-year-old made his Fluminense debut in the first squad. Andre has played for the team 185 times since then, contributing four goals and three assists.
Since then, his reputation has grown. In addition, he made his senior debut with the Brazilian national team last year. Andre’s development, meantime, has not gone ignored; other prestigious teams throughout Europe have taken notice.
The young player has drawn interest from prominent teams like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Manchester City. He is also a target for Liverpool and Fulham.
Liverpool showed interest in Andre Trindade throughout 2023 without succeeding in the bid to sign him. The links have faded since the turn of the year, with the Merseyside club prioritising bolstering other areas of the first-team squad. That might clear the way for Fulham to sign the Brazilian international.
Andre’s services were considered by Fulham for acquisition during the winter transfer window. It makes sense that many are still interested in the 22-year-old because Joao Palhinha is getting closer to joining Bayern Munich.
Fulham has made the Fluminense midfielder a major target, and the West London team is in negotiations with his agents.
Given that Andre’s representatives are in communication with Fulham, a late transfer to Craven Cottage may be imminent as the summer transfer deadline draws near. It will be interesting to see if this time around the Cottagers can negotiate with everyone amicably.
