The Dallas Cowboys bring in former Green Bay Packers 38-game player
The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers are poised to be among the NFC’s top contenders in the upcoming 2024 season. Despite the Packers defeating Dallas in the 2024 playoffs, both teams have high expectations for the new season.
In a move aimed at bolstering their squad, the Cowboys have brought in a former Green Bay Packers linebacker. According to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, Jonathan Garvin, a defensive end, is undergoing workouts for the Cowboys, as confirmed by his agents to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Garvin played a significant role for the Birmingham Stallions in the recent UFL season, contributing to their championship-winning defense with notable performances, including 3.5 sacks and 20 tackles.
Previously a seventh-round pick for the Packers in 2020, Garvin spent three seasons with them, primarily as a special teams asset. Despite being released in July 2022 after a reduced role in the 2022 season, Garvin, still just 24 years old, showcased his potential with Birmingham, highlighting his capabilities in both pass rushing and special teams play.
