West Ham is set to sign Wes Foderingham on a free transfer.

West Ham United are nearing their second summer transfer window signing, with Wes Foderingham expected to join the club on a free transfer.

Dharmesh Seth, the current Sheffield United goalkeeper, is set to sign a two-year contract with West Ham United once his deal at Bramall Lane ends.

Wes Foderingham will be joining as the new third-choice goalkeeper at the London Stadium, providing cover for Alphonse Areola and Lukasz Fabianski.

Tim Steidten recognized the need to strengthen the goalkeeping department this summer, especially with Joseph Anang likely leaving when his contract ends later this month.

The 24-year-old emerged from our youth system but didn’t feature for the senior side since stepping up in January 2023. Alongside Anang’s impending departure, 20-year-old Jacob Knightbridge has moved to Championship side Oxford United for more playing opportunities.

Furthermore, English goalkeeper Nathan Trott is nearing a permanent departure from the London Stadium this summer, underlining the necessity for a new third-choice goalkeeper.

Foderingham’s imminent arrival is crucial for filling that role, enabling Steidten to concentrate on strengthening other squad areas.

There’s more to come in terms of signings. Last week, we finalized the acquisition of Brazil Under-20 winger Luis Guilherme, marking the first addition under the Lopetegui era for £25 million from Palmeiras.

As the comprehensive overhaul progresses, we anticipate several more additions to the squad this summer.

We’ve been heavily linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers skipper Max Kilman and Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

Kilman is seen as the main target to strengthen the defense this summer, especially with Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd’s futures at the London Stadium uncertain.

A striker is also a priority on our shopping list, and En-Nesyri seems to be the top target, with Lopetegui eager to reunite with the Moroccan striker in East London.
