West Brom’s standout player of the season, Cedric Kipre, has caught the attention of Ipswich Town

Cedric Kipre, the highly sought-after Albion player of the season, is reportedly being monitored by newly promoted Premier League team Ipswich Town.

The 27-year-old center-back is set to leave The Hawthorns as a free agent this summer following a standout season anchoring Carlos Corberan’s defense.

Albion has extended a new contract offer to Kipre, an upgrade from his initial four-year agreement upon joining the Baggies from Wigan in 2020.

Reports suggest that there has been enduring interest from France in Kipre’s talents, but recent updates indicate Ipswich, under the management of Kieran McKenna, are also showing significant interest in the central defender.

The Tractor Boys are gearing up for their return to the Premier League after a 22-year absence following consecutive promotions.

Additionally, French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg has been linked with the free transfer of the former Wigan player, alongside Turkish club Trabzonspor, who are also eyeing a move for Baggies midfielder Okay Yokuslu to return to Turkey.

There have been mentions of unnamed German clubs expressing interest in signing Kipre, whom Albion has come to terms with parting ways with despite offering the most favorable terms within the club’s current wage structure.

On the other hand, Albion has been associated with Mali international central defender Moussa Diarra, 23, who is a free agent after departing Toulouse in France.

In other news, former academy defender Jenson Sumnall, 18, who joined Albion from Stourbridge in 2021, has secured a deal with Peterborough’s academy after being released by Albion.
