‘Confetti Falling Down’: Texans QB Discusses Houston’s Expectations

Having played in the NFL for 11 years, Case Keenum is familiar with the offseason appearance of a contender.

It seems the team is not quite content even after spending 2023 with a Houston Texans team that exceeded expectations and won the AFC South. Keenum claims that the ball club has far higher goals for 2024:

It’s clear that there was a lot of success, and the boys are really happy of what C.J. Stroud and I accomplished. The bone still has some meat on it. We’re still determined to pursue it. We want to end with the last one being won and the confetti falling, even though we weren’t present.

These comments could have been laughed at by many a year ago. But C.J. Stroud’s outstanding play in his debut campaign put Houston firmly in the hunt for victory. In the future, the Texans will not be taken lightly in the AFC East, which is anticipated to be a packed and tough league.

In 2024, this wide receiver for the Houston Texans hopes to have a season that is extremely exceptional.

The Firepower Is With the Houston Texans

With such a talented squad, the Texans are aiming high for a championship this year.

Following their 2023 playoff run that ended in the Divisional Round, general manager Nick Caserio entered this summer with a strong attitude. To strengthen the defense, he signed players like Azeez Al-Shaair, Denico Autry, and Danielle Hunter.

He also acquired Cincinnati Bengals star running back Joe Mixon and wide receiver Stefon Diggs, an All-Pro for the Buffalo Bills. The 36-year-old quarterback, who was formerly Keenum’s teammate, talked about his reunion with the receiver and what he’s observed so far.

He’s still got it, and he’s a dynamic player. If anything, he is more astute and capable of winning by adding a little extra sauce to specific routes when necessary. He’s done a fantastic job honing his trade and using his toolkit, and I can’t wait to see what he can accomplish in the autumn.

The team’s play should be improved by the returning talents Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Laremy Tunsil, Will Anderson Jr., and Derek Stingley Jr., even though all the new talent is exciting.

Even though there is fierce competition in the AFC, it’s difficult not to get excited about this Texans team, which was one of the more thrilling groups in sports the previous season.

They’re among the league’s top contenders and could be able to acquire that confetti after all, should they keep up their current surge.
