Luton Town is confronting intense competition in their pursuit of the £2.5 million-rated player.

Luton Town is reportedly aiming to strengthen their squad following their relegation from the Premier League and has identified a highly-rated player currently playing in France.

Luton Town’s ascent to the top tier of English football has been notably impressive due to their astute recruitment strategy.

Despite their relegation back to the Championship, the club continues to pursue this approach. Reports from Get Football News France indicate that Luton has set their sights on Cyriaque Irie, a talented 19-year-old from Dijon, although they face strong competition for his signature.

According to reports from L’Equipe, AC Milan has expressed a strong interest in bringing the Burkinabe player to the San Siro. Allegedly, the player has already agreed to terms with AC Milan.

However, Dijon rejected AC Milan’s bid of £2.5 million for his services, despite the player’s desire to move away from France this summer.

It’s noteworthy that Burkina Faso has been producing highly talented attacking players, such as Edmond Tapsoba, Dango Ouattara, and Lassina Traore, showcasing their growing prominence in the football world.

Meanwhile, Luton Town signed Issa Kabore last summer on loan from Premier League champions Manchester City. Irie is just another name that can be added to the growing list of talents coming out of the African nation.
