Wolves makes request for the Dutch greatest Back Man
Currently a center back with Feyenoord in the Eredivisie, the 23-year-old is drawing interest from other European teams.
Wolves FC have made an enquiry for Dutch defender Thomas Beelen, who currently plays for Eredivisie side Feyenoord ¹ ². The 23-year-old centre-back has attracted interest from other European clubs, but Wolves have made the first move by contacting his representatives over a potential summer move ². However, they are yet to contact Feyenoord directly ².
Beelen is considered a promising young talent, and Wolves are looking to secure his signature for a reported £17million ². The move is likely aimed at finding a replacement for Max Kilman, who has been linked with a move to West Ham ³ ⁴ ⁵.
This move comes as part of Wolves’ efforts to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. The team had a disappointing finish to the 2023-24 campaign, winning only two of their last 12 top-flight matches ⁵. They are also facing the possibility of losing key players like Pedro Neto and Max Kilman in the summer transfer window ⁶ ³ ⁵.
The enquiry for Beelen shows that Wolves are actively looking for reinforcements to bolster their defense. With the new season fast approaching, it remains to be seen whether they will be successful in securing Beelen’s signature and other targets to improve their squad.
In other news, Wolves will start their 2024/25 Premier League season against Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday, August 17 ⁷. They have also confirmed a pre-season friendly at Molineux ⁸. The team is looking to bounce back from a poor finish to the last season and make a stronger push in the upcoming campaign.
