Italian head coach Roberto De Zerbi has agreed to take on the role at Marseille. The club is now working with all relevant parties to finalize the arrival of De Zerbi and his coaching staff at Marseille. Preparations are underway for his move to the city in the coming days.
De Zerbi will replace Jean-Louis Gasset, the last of three managers who were appointed by Marseille last season. Under their leadership, the team finished in eighth place.
Marseille is renowned for its passionate fan base, and the Vélodrome stadium is known for its intense atmosphere. De Zerbi, who is also known for his fiery personality, might create a dynamic and thrilling environment.
De Zerbi gained recognition at Brighton after taking over from Graham Potter in September 2022. He led the team to their best-ever finish in the top-flight, securing sixth place and qualifying for the Europa League.
