Report: Club line up replacement after Brighton table €20m offer – Extra €5m may be needed…
According to a report from the Turkish media, Galatasaray is preparing for the departure of Barış Alper Yılmaz in response to an offer from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Recent reports in both the UK and Turkish media indicate that the Premier League team is interested in signing the Turkish international this summer.
The Turkish newspaper Diriliş Postası has reported that Galatasaray is planning for life without Yılmaz and has set their sights on Bodrum F.K winger Gökdeniz Bayraktar as a replacement. They are reportedly in negotiations to acquire Bayraktar for €1.5 million.
These latest developments are likely to encourage Brighton, following reports of their €20 million offer for Yılmaz. However, it is also reported that the English club may need to increase their offer to €25 million to secure the right winger.
Yılmaz is currently in Germany with the Turkey national team, so personal terms will need to be finalized after the tournament.
Yılmaz has previously been linked with West Ham United, Lazio, and Bayer Leverkusen.
Last season, he started 28 Super Lig games and scored seven goals. He is under contract with Galatasaray until June 2027.
