A teenage defender signs a new contract with Reading FC

Kelvin Abrefa, a defender for Reading FC, has recently signed a new contract with the club that is for two years.

Despite the fact that the 20-year-old player struggled with injuries for a significant portion of the previous season, he was able to make an appearance toward the conclusion of the season, which was crucial for the Royals to avoid being demoted from League One.

During the previous season, he participated in a total of thirteen senior matches for the team coached by Ruben Selles. These appearances comprised eleven League One games, one EFL Cup game, and one EFL Trophy game.

In addition, he saw action for Noel Hunt’s Under-21 team in Premier League 2 on eight separate occasions.

The head of football operations, Mark Bowen, expressed his excitement about the fact that Kelvin has signed a new deal for a period of two years. The fact that Kelvin has decided to continue his development as a Reading player is something that we are very thrilled about because there was, as one might expect, a great deal of interest from other sources.
