‘Already Agreed’: Club president admits Colombia star will leave his club after Leeds table £12.7m offer

Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto are two wingers that Leeds United may be looking to let go of this summer. One target may already be on the way.

In order to balance the Elland Road books and adhere to Profit & Sustainability regulations, Leeds must sell a few key players, which means the Whites should profit from both Summerville and Gnonto this summer.

Summerville has half of the Premier League on notice, as talks regarding a potential transfer are rumored to have begun at Brighton. Premier League Nottingham Forest has made a £16.9 million bid for Gnonto.

After a loan stay, Jaidon Anthony has already returned to Bournemouth, and Ian Poveda’s Leeds contract is set to expire on Sunday. Dan James is currently the only natural wide option available to the Leeds team.

Club president acknowledges he might sell Leeds United’s interest.

Colombian star Jhon Arias is one player Leeds is thinking about to replace the possible vacuum left by Summerville, Gnonto, and Anthony. The Fluminense winger made his Copa America debut for Colombia.

This summer, Leeds and the South American were linked, and it seems that a move to England is becoming more and more likely. Leeds is undoubtedly competing to recruit the talented winger this summer.

Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt, cited by Noticias Caracol, asserts that Arias may depart in the upcoming months if he makes the request, and that decision may rely on the level of interest expressed in the Colombian.

They have the option to leave or remain in our current predicament. I must therefore decide if I am searching for a player who is willing to go or not. This is speculating on a potential escape. We keep an eye on the market at all times.

Leeds puts up a bid for Jhon Arias, but West Ham is in the lead.

According to reports, Leeds has put in a £12.7 million bid to sign the Fluminense star. Rangers, Leicester, and Crystal Palace are rumored to be interested as well, although West Ham is allegedly leading the pack.

It’s unclear if Arias would start for the Hammers considering Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen’s performance from the previous campaign. He would have greater opportunities to start frequently at Leicester.

If Michael Olise or Eberechi Eze depart Selhurst Park before him, he might also have that chance at Palace. Elland Road is probably the only location where his position is sorted, but he’s pricey.
