‘BELOW EXPECTATION’ :Flamengo rejects Brighton €4m offer for their youngster…
Brighton & Hove Albion have made a bid to sign Wesley, a fullback from Flamengo. The offer, reported to be €4 million, was made through the player’s representatives.
However, Flamengo rejected this offer, considering it insufficient. There is no indication yet whether Brighton will submit a higher bid.
The report suggests that Wesley’s future at Flamengo is uncertain, but securing his transfer will require a substantial effort. Portuguese club Famalicão had shown interest in acquiring Wesley on a loan deal, but Flamengo dismissed this option.
Previously, in March, the same source reported that Brighton was preparing this €4 million offer, which included Flamengo retaining 20% of any future transfer fee. It appears that Brighton took a few months before making their bid and now understands that they need to increase their offer.
Wesley’s representatives are expected to play a significant role in the negotiations.
