I’m leaving – Bradford city hit man set to leave after just 35 games – He will be missed

Curtis Tilt Departs Bradford City to Complete Move to Burton Albion

Experienced central defender Curtis Tilt has officially ended his one-year spell at Bradford City after securing a permanent transfer to Burton Albion for an undisclosed transfer fee.

The 34-year-old defender joined Bradford City from Salford City ahead of the previous season and went on to become an important figure in the team’s defensive setup. Throughout his campaign with the Bantams, Tilt made a total of 35 appearances across all competitions, including 31 starts in League One, demonstrating his reliability and consistency at the heart of the defence.

When Tilt first arrived at Valley Parade, his signing was met with some uncertainty and scepticism from sections of the Bradford City fanbase. However, he quickly silenced those doubts through a series of commanding performances. His physical presence, strong tackling, aerial dominance, and uncompromising defensive style earned him the respect and admiration of supporters, making him one of the club’s most dependable defenders during the season.

A Jamaica international, Tilt now begins a new chapter in his career by joining Burton Albion, where he will reunite with manager Gary Bowyer, the former Bradford City boss. Bowyer, who previously managed the Bantams, has brought the experienced defender to strengthen Burton’s squad ahead of the new campaign.

Interestingly, Burton Albion enjoyed notable success against Bradford City last season, becoming the only team to record a league double over the Bantams by defeating them in both fixtures. Tilt will now be hoping to use his experience and defensive qualities to help Burton build on those performances as he embarks on the next stage of his career.
