Paris Saint-Germain F.C. enter race for Newcastle United F.C. star in transfer twist that may impact Liverpool F.C. and Arsenal F.C. plans

Paris Saint-Germain F.C. have emerged as the latest European giants keeping tabs on Anthony Gordon at Newcastle United F.C., in a development that could also affect the transfer plans of Liverpool F.C. and Arsenal F.C..

Sources have told TEAMtalk that PSG have made enquiries about Gordon’s situation amid growing uncertainty over his future at St James’ Park. The Ligue 1 champions are evaluating attacking options in case changes are made to Luis Enrique’s squad this summer.

Although PSG are not currently prioritising a move for a new forward, the club are aware of increasing Premier League interest in Bradley Barcola.

TEAMtalk previously revealed that discussions have already begun behind the scenes regarding Barcola’s future, with Liverpool and Arsenal leading the chase from England.

Despite remaining a valued part of Enrique’s setup, Barcola’s role has reportedly sparked internal debate after he started on the bench in both legs of PSG’s Champions League semi-final triumph over FC Bayern Munich.

PSG continue to insist Barcola is not available for transfer, but sources indicate the club are quietly preparing alternative options if the situation changes — with Gordon viewed as one of the leading candidates.

It is understood Gordon’s camp has informed Newcastle they are willing to consider offers this summer, attracting strong attention from clubs in both the Premier League and across Europe.

A move overseas is believed to interest Gordon, who is open to experiencing football abroad if a suitable opportunity presents itself.

Even with mounting interest, Newcastle remain firmly in control of negotiations.

Gordon signed a new long-term deal in 2024, with four years still left on his contract and no release clause included.

Because of that, Newcastle are under no pressure to sell and are expected to demand around £80 million before entertaining any bids this summer.

Clubs monitoring Gordon

Liverpool and Arsenal are continuing to watch developments closely, while Bayern Munich’s long-standing admiration for the winger is well known.

TEAMtalk can also confirm PSG have checked on Gordon’s availability, while FC Barcelona have also been linked with the England international in recent weeks.

Gordon’s ability to play across multiple attacking positions, combined with his pace and direct style, has made him a highly attractive option for several top European clubs.
